TIMON WEHRLI

Red Dog Studio was established by photographer Timon Wehrli. Originally from the UK, he began his photography career in Los Angeles in 1988, after graduating from London's prestigious Royal College of Art and Design.

In 1993, Timon's extensive travels brought him to Hong Kong where he began working as a reportage photographer. As Timon's reputation and repertoire grew, he set-up Red Dog Studio in 1995 where his work quickly matured, developed and evolved to include high profile advertising, celebrity, fashion, food and interiors.

Over a decade later, Red Dog Studio is one of the leading and most sought after creative studios in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific Region. Under Timon's artistic direction and as chief photographer, the studio has amassed an impressive portfolio that includes high profile celebrity portraits (Arron Kwok, Shu Qi, Tony Leung, Daniel Wu, Zhao Wei, Coco Lee, Maggie Q, Sandy Lam, Shawn Yue Man-Lok, Enrique Iglesias, Brad Pitt); blue chip and high-end fashion advertising campaigns (Reebok, Intel, Levis, Coach, Ferregamo, Marc Jacobs, Panadol, Cathay Pacific, Fornarina, Mastercard, Philips); high-end fashion editorials (West East, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vision, Time); and a vast and diverse range of personal creative projects, including a month long documentary project with the last nomadic tribe in Mongolia.

Timon was also a co-founding partner in establishing the production company Red Cactus that served as the production arm of Red Dog. With Timon's guidance, Red Cactus has successfully grown to now function as a separate entity.

Timon created the local arts magazine, Galleri in 2007 along with Jay FC, @ China Stylus.(www.alivenotdead.com/galleri).This also provided Timon/Red Dog studio with creative spin offs such as the Skin Inks campaign (www.alivenotdead.com/skininks) produced by Red Dog/China Stylus, that raised awareness and donations to a local youth outreach charity.

Red Dog is currently working on major advertising campaigns across the region and 2022will see Timon streamlining Red Dog Studio, and adapting his personal photography to include a fine Art Photography NFTs, as well as continuing a love and desire to be involved in a diverse selection of Charity projects that have included: a series of expeditions to Vietnam and China to document the preservation of the MOON BEARS, Dragon Boat race and Everest Expedition to raise money for a School in Nepal, PETA Fashion portraits, and a continual support for the Arts in HK, with M+Museum.
